Have you ever delivered a plate of freshly baked cookies to your new neighbor or maybe popped some champagne to celebrate a friend’s new house? Housewarming parties have been a tradition for many years and are thought to originate in France. There, it was customary to bring firewood to your friend’s or neighbor’s new home to indeed heat the house. The fireplace would be lit and friends would gather for a dinner to warm the home.
